Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig September. 21 in 1983) is a famous American actor. Most notably, she played Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost TV series as well as Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. Her parents had divorced and she relocated with her mother to Los Angeles. Although she was struggling financially and in the beginning, she made her acting debut acting as Rachel's Room's main character. In 2002 she was nominated for a Young Artist Award with her role as 15-year old murdered Martha Moxley. She was nominated in the Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress due to her part on the film Crazy Heart, (2009). Following that, she went on to star in comedies and dramas like Nanny McPhee and The Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and The Won't Back Down (12). Other characters include as a secret agent for The Secret Service in White House Down 2013. She also appeared as a vocalist in Frank 2014 and also the role of a teacher in The Kindergarten Teacher 2018, where she is the lead role. In 2021, Gyllenhaal made her writing and directing debut with the psychological drama The Lost Daughter for which she was awarded The Lost Daughter the Venice International Film Festival's Best Screenplay Award and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
