Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress, who has worked in TV and film is most well-known for her roles in films such as Rush as well as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the sole child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. At the age of sixteen, she had obtained a few television appearances, which included the leading role in the Downfall film Youth Without Youth Control. Her acclaimed and critically acclaimed performance in the TV film that was made to air Der Tunnel paved way for some other memorable roles such as that as Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge. The role was in the commercially and critically highly successful Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films starring this stunning female diva. Alexandra has worked on several notable projects, in both the US and abroad. The most notable of these include British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and the French historical miniseries Napoleon and many more. She was also on the jury of the Transylvania International Film Festival, and was also a juror at Cannes Film Festival.
